Irakli Bezhuashvili

Ika is a Senior at Columbia University, double majoring in Economics and Political Science and pursuing a Departmental Honors Thesis track, researching the Russian propaganda machine and its influence on voter decision-making in Georgia. He has experience working in international settings, both on European and transatlantic levels. On a European level, he recently worked as a trainee at the European Parliament with a Polish MEP. Transatlantically, he serves as the Deputy Executive Director of European Horizons, a student-led policy incubator. On Columbia’s campus, he has served as the President of the Columbia European Society for two years and has been actively involved in CMUNNY and CAFA as Director-General and European Representative, respectively. Ika is super-responsive to everything that helps with engagement, impact, and change. DNA: diving into a rabbit hole of psychological-thriller novels and true crime documentaries.
