Lorenzo is a Masters candidate in Economic Public Policy at Sciences Po and the Hertie School. In the past, he has conducted research about "The raison d'être of the European Union according to European treaties’ preambles" and worked as a Policy Evaluator for World Vision Zambia in partnership with Columbia University. Ika is a Senior at Columbia University, double majoring in Economics and Political Science and pursuing a Departmental Honors Thesis track, researching the Russian propaganda machine and its influence on voter decision-making in Georgia. DNA: diving into a rabbit hole of psychological-thriller novels and true crime documentaries.
Rachele is pursuing a Dual Master’s in International Economic Policy at Sciences Po and Columbia University. DNA: Aspiring policymaker outside, hopeless ballerina inside.
Samuel’s experience spans across the U.S. government and think tanks in Europe. He is currently a U.S. 2023 Presidential Management Fellow Finalist and holds an M.A. in Geopolitics and Strategic Studies and a B.A. in Journalism and Communications, which he obtained respectively in Spain and the Czech Republic. Gemma is completing a Master of Science in European Politics and Policy at UCL. Her thesis analyses the diverging paths of British and Danish Euroscepticism, and she has also specialised in international negotiation and policy making and regulation in Europe. DNA: makes the best charcuterie boards.
Josh has just completed his studies at UCL reading History. Building upon his experience as Editor-in-Chief of UCL’s Pi Magazine and work for the university’s European Institute, he is excited to support others to share their insights through European Horizons’ publications. Lukasz joined European Horizons during his first year at UCL, where he read Politics and International Relations. After obtaining a Bachelor’s degree, he is pursuing a Master’s degree in European Affairs with a specialisation in digitisation and new technologies at Sciences Po Paris. DNA: Politico, The Economist, and any song by Mr Worldwide.
Marlena has just completed her Bachelor's Degree at Amsterdam University College, focusing on European and international relations. During her stay in Amsterdam, she devoted herself to European Horizons by serving as the local chapter President. She is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in European Affairs, specializing in Europe’s external relations, at Sciences Po Paris. DNA: A European dancing soul.
Born and raised in Washinton D.C., Paolo moved to Venice, Italy, to study towards a Bachelor's degree in Philosophy, International Studies and Economics at Ca' Foscari University. He is currently in his second year of a Master's in European Studies at UCLouvain, in Belgium, and will be spending this year undertaking an Erasmus+ at Sciences Po Paris. DNA: Any NYT podcast, Parmigiano Reggiano, and early mornings.
Matthieu is a dual BA student at Sciences Po Paris and UCL. While at Sciences Po, he majored in Economics and Sociology, and minored in European and Latin American politics. Now at UCL, he is specialising in Economics to complete his dual degree. DNA: Trilingual, dual national, fully European.

Zahar holds a Bachelor's in Economics and Political Science from Trinity College Dublin and is currently pursuing a Master's in Central, Eastern European, Russian, and Eurasian Studies at the University of Glasgow. DNA: swimming in the Irish Sea.
Timur is a Political Science Masters student at the University of Amsterdam with a background in Philosophy, Politics and Economics from VU Amsterdam. DNA: thoughts, curiosity, discovery, amazement.
Lika is a junior at Barnard College of Columbia University, studying Political Science and Philosophy. Her research interests include democratization in Eastern Europe, regional and international security and cybersecurity. DNA: reading classics somewhere up in the Georgian mountains.
Abigail is a 2023 graduate of Harvard College with a BA in Government and French and a secondary field in European History, Politics, and Societies. DNA: long walks through Paris, yoga, and iced green tea with almond milk (tastes better than it sounds!)
Jan Philipp is a PhD student at European University Viadrina Frankfurt (Oder)/Université Paris 1 Panthéon Sorbonne, undertaking research in the field of European constitutional and economic law and European legal theory. DNA: Beethoven, Sichuan Hotpot, Modern Art.
Kamilla studies Politics and International Relations at UCL. She has a keen interest in policymaking, having completed research on immigration policy, international semiconductor strategies, and housing access. DNA: Caffeine, classical music, and chill hikes.
Meret Linnarz is a PhD candidate in German Philology at the University of Cologne. She has spent her life in Germany, Peru, Singapore, Japan, Ireland, the United States and the United Kingdom. In 2022 she completed her MSt in Creative Writing at the university of Oxford. DNA: Jet Lag and an uncanny international accent!
Lola is a Masters candidate at Sciences Po Toulouse. DNA: Reading, drinking flat whites and explaining why Madrid is the best city in the world.
Atyia, originally from Ukraine, is an International Relations student at Rhine-Waal University of Applied Sciences in Germany. She works as a Junior Teaching & Research Assistant with main research interests being international security, energy security and European integration. DNA: IR student in love with mathematics and astronomy.
Nicklas is currently pursuing the final year of his bachelor’s in international relations and Organisations at Leiden University. DNA: Keep the tie-knot tight and the outlook wide.
Anna is a 3rd-year Liberal Arts and Sciences student at Amsterdam University College majoring in IR and Political Science. She is currently on exchange at the University of Toronto, where she is focusing on Security Studies. DNA: city walks, Aperol Spritzes and ice hockey.
Alex is a Master's student at Sciences Po, specializing in International Security. With a keen interest in Central and Eastern Europe, she investigated these topics outside of academia in the German Bundestag and Federal Foreign Office. DNA: Early morning spinning classes, late night yoga and soups (blame it on the Eastern European heritage).
Júlia is an International Relations graduate and a prospective student at the University of Stirling and Pompeu Fabra Master’s Degree in Strategic Communication and Public Relations. DNA: quite a short person with quite large ambitions.
Marko is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in European Politics and Society at the Pompeu Fabra University in Barcelona, as an Erasmus Mundus Joint Degree scholar. DNA: train rides, long city walks and political parties.
